All our facilities are designed to comply with international quality criteria: referring to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), as well as ISO/IEC 17025 testing laboratory quality assurance. This is where all EBM Institute's hands-on teaching modules are executed using real, industry-standard equipment.

Standardization & Integration of Research Ecosystem

To produce valid scientific data, safe commercial products, and globally competitive innovations, a commitment to technological excellence is essential. EBM Scitech designs an integrated laboratory ecosystem that bridges fundamental research to industrial scaling-up.

All our facilities are designed to comply with international quality criteria: referring to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and laboratory testing quality assurance ISO/IEC 17025. Here, all teaching modules hands-on EBM Institute are executed using real industry-standard equipment.

Here are the details of our 6 main laboratory complexes ready to support your intensive research and learning needs:

Analytical Laboratory

Main focus: Identification, characterization, quantification, and validation of marker compounds both qualitatively and quantitatively.

Infrastructure & Leading Equipment:

Up-to-date Chromatography & Spectroscopy Instruments: UHPLC, UHPLC, LC-MS/MS QToF, LC-MS/MS TQd, GC-MS, GC-FID,  FTIR, and also UV-Vis Spectrophotometer tandem with microplate reader.



Natural Product Laboratory

Main Focus: Extraction, fractionation, and purification of natural compounds from the rich biodiversity of Nusantara.

Infrastructure & Leading Equipment:

Lab Scale Phytochemical Purification Unit: Flash & preparative column chromatography, radial chromatography, vacuum evaporation systems (rotary evaporators), and precision fractionation units to separate target molecules from complex plant matrices.

Main Focus: Biological safety and efficacy testing in living organism models (in vivo) before moving on to clinical trials in humans.

Infrastructure & Leading Equipment:

  • Animal Laboratory Facilities: Animal vivarium with temperature, humidity and air circulation controller, complying with the international animal welfare code of ethics (3Rs).
  • Histopathology Laboratory: High-precision microtome machines, biological tissue staining tools, and fluorescence microscopes to analyze post-exam organ-level cellular damage or repair.




Preclinical Research Laboratory

Main Focus: Biological safety and efficacy testing in living organism models (in vivo) before moving on to clinical trials in humans.

Product Prototyping Unit: High-speed homogenizing machine (homogenizer), stability test incubator for dosage forms, lab-scale tablet/capsule printing equipment, and sterile packaging facilities.


Formulation Laboratory

Main Focus: Development and prototyping of high-value end products for the herbal and nutraceutical industries, including functional food products, health supplements, cosmetics and skincare.

Infrastructure & Leading Equipment:

Omics Research Laboratory

Main focus: Advanced molecular biology analysis to map genetic expression regulation and metabolomic profiles under the OMICverse.

Infrastructure & Leading Equipment:

  • Genomics & Transcriptomics: Up-to-date Real-Time PCR (RT-qPCR) machines, sterile ultra-centrifuge cabinets, and bioinformatics visualization software.
  • Metabolomics & Proteomics: QToF LC-MS/MS instrument for mapping cellular metabolite profiles.

Omics Research Laboratory

Main focus: Advanced molecular biology analysis to map genetic expression regulation and metabolomic profiles under the OMICverse.

Infrastructure & Leading Equipment:

Pilot Scale Extraction and Refinery Facility

Main Focus: Bridging laboratory research (lab scale) to industrial scale commercial production (industrial scale) using green chemistry principles.

  • Infrastructure & Leading Tools:

    • Extraction plant: Modern extraction reactor with temperature and pressure controller and pilot scale evaporator unit with solvent recovery system.

    • Refinery plant: Rotary evaporator with a capacity of 50 L, Lab & Pilot SFE (Supercritical Fluid Extraction) which uses supercritical carbon dioxide gas technology to extract essential oils without leaving toxic chemical solvent residues.
